Kinetic Energy of The SA Sports Empire Terminator This crossbow is new for 2014, so I haven’t had it out for deer season yet, but the power and accuracy are good enough for me to feel comfortable that the crossbow will fill my freezer this winter. Much of this is due to the short, 11” power stroke, but the crossbow should still be powerful enough for most deer hunters. The SA Sports Empire Hunter is a small crossbow, and slightly underpowered. Will Hunters Enjoy the SA Sports Empire Terminator? The crossbow is definitely accurate enough to bull’s-eye with every shot, and I did just that with my groupings. What it lacks in power, though, it does make up in accuracy.Īfter sighting in the scope, I was able to maintain ½” groupings from 30 and 40 yards, and 1” groupings from 50 and 60 yards. It fires the 16” aluminum arrows at a mere 260 fps, according to my chronograph, and only deals out about 60 ft. The Empire Hunter isn’t the most powerful crossbow I’ve ever fired. All very easy to do, but make sure you double-check all of the attachment hardware to make sure it’s nice and tight-some of the screws came loose early on. Next, install the foot stirrup, and then mount the scope and quiver. ![]() ![]() This crossbow comes pre-strung, so all you have to do is attach the adjustable rear stock, and then mount the bow assembly to the stock. Attachment hardware (screws and bolts) work looseįrom the time I unboxed all the parts and accessories to the time I had the bow fully assembled and ready to go, no more than 20 minutes had passed.
